The world is pretty awesome in black and white and there is something special about capturing subjects in graphite. I came to love the capabilities of graphite after taking a life drawing class.  I was fascinated by the way this medium can be built up in many layers to create depth and texture.  There is something meditative about this medium and it versatility means that it can be done any where with a pencil and paper.
