"Home Stretch" was inspired by a spur of the moment trip to the artist's home town of Glenwood Springs in September one year. It was a beautiful blue-bird sky day and the temperatures were crisp. The oak brush on the mountain sides west of town were aglow with fall color and the Colorado River was as crisp and clear as the air.
8" x 8" watercolor painting on Arches 140 1lb cold press watercolor paper, framed and matted using archival safe materials, UV filter glass and natural-wood frame.

Each painting is is planned out and painted in several layers of color allowing the colors to shine through and life's details to be captured.
